Yep, that’s right. With a little luck, I’ll be signing the lease for a maisonette apartment in Hellevoetsluis next week.I’m really excited about the place, it’s got a pretty big living room on the first floor (roughly 50 m² or 550 square feet) with two bedrooms on the second floor. I’ll post some pictures when I get the keys.

Since I’m moving out of my parents’ house, I own pretty much nothing, and most of the insurance issues were still handled by them. It’ll be interesting to see what I need, and what living on my own actually costs.

I’ve had a nice chat with the financial advisors during my lunch break (they’re one floor down from my office, so that was easy). They already informed me that I’ll need insurance for my furniture and personal effects, fire insurance, funeral insurance (just in case) and possibly legal aid insurance in case I ever get in trouble with the company I’m renting the place from.

So expect an update next week!
