Stappenplan updates
My new show, Stappenplan, has been running for about a month now, and we’re starting to get our things together. We’re still getting to grips with putting an interesting show together every week, but it’s working out okay, and we’re beginning to see signs that people are actually tuning in.
One big component in the show is the interviews we have with members of bands performing in the area. Our original intent was to highlight things to do on the same night as we do the show, but we picked a very bad time to start the show in that regard. For example, last Saturday I could find only two venues in our listening range that had live bands performing. So we’ve started looking ahead a bit, and preview what’s coming over the next week, because a lot of venues have live music on any day BUT Saturday…
I thought I’d give a shoutout to all the bands we’ve interviewed so far, and once again give them our sincere thanks for being kind enough to join us on air, whether it be live in the studio, or by phone:
- AllgoRhythm
- Baboon 4
- Bad Hair Day
- The City Beautiful
- Darling Rooster
- Floodstain
- Funhouse Band
- The Madd
- Moondance
- No Man’s Land
- Partycrashers (and background vocalist M-Jo)
- Ranzig
- Richard Beukelaar and John Snijders
- Yesterday’s Glory
Thanks guys!
I’m working on a site for Stappenplan, and all future thank-yous will take place there, once it’s finished :-) It will also host clips of past interviews, which are currently on my private server, so I’m not going to post public links to them. You’ll have to wait until the site is live, which I will announce here.
And then, an announcement! This coming Saturday (that would be October 13th), we’re holding an open jamsession in the bar below the studio (map). We’re starting at 9.30 PM, and if it’s technologically doable, we’ll broadcast it live until 11. Bring your own instruments if you can!
That’s it for now, we have some other ideas planned but I’ll keep them to myself until we have them properly worked out. Thanks for reading, and see you next time!
